Each Al-Anon Family Group has but one purpose, to help families and friends of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
We Welcome You....
Attending meetings to learn more about alcoholism and how to deal with its effects is an important tool in our recovery process. It can be difficult going for the first time, but you will be welcomed by other members who remember what their first time was like. They will make you feel welcome! Many different meeting formats exist, each with its own flavor. You will hear members share how attendance has helped them more fully understand their alcoholic relative. You will learn how to enjoy a full and happy life, regardless of whether the alcoholic is still drinking.
